Forever Facets is centered around you. My unique custom design process starts with listening and ends with delight. Here’s what you can expect.
During our first meeting, you’ll bring your ideas, your story, pictures, concepts, thoughts, interests, and questions. I’ll listen and observe so that I can identify and articulate a common thread amongst your preferences. We’ll talk about gemstones, shapes, settings and style. Then, we’ll work together to clarify your vision.
Once we’ve clarified your vision, it’s time to explore the perfect gemstones. The gemstones influence the price of your piece and are generally the focal point of your story. I’ll be here every step of the way answering your questions and ensuring you get the best gemstone for your budget.
Based on our conversation, I’ll sketch a picture of what your perfect piece of jewelry will look like. I’ll listen to your feedback and incorporate your ideas into the design until it’s exactly what you’ve dreamed of.
Your design will be rendered in CAD so that you can see the exact specifications of the hand-drawn sketch. If something’s not perfect, I’ll make it so. I won’t stop until you are 100% satisfied with the design.
This is the fun part! Your design is printed as a wax model using a 3D printer. This printer is like the 3D printers available on the market, except it uses thousands of thin wax layers. Building the model takes many hours depending on the complexity of the design.
The final step requires the wax model to be cast in gold or platinum, each stone is set by hand here in the USA, and the prongs are tipped to complete the piece. The fabricator inspects the piece before it’s delivered to me. Then, I personally inspect the jewelry for any flaws, scratches, or quality issues. Once I believe it’s perfect, I will personally deliver your beautiful finished item.
